After creating a template, you can assign templates to a resources in one of two ways:

• Assign templates from setup.
• Assign templates at the device level.

Assign a template from setup

1. Select a client from the All Clients list.

2. Select Setup > Monitoring > Assign Templates, which displays the ASSIGN TEMPLATES page.

3. From the options displayed in the drop-down, select a client.

4. From the options displayed in the drop-down, select one of the following:

   • Assign Templates to resources
   • Assign Templates to Services

5. From the options displayed in the drop-down, select a collector type.

6. Click Show Resource Filters to filter the following:

   • Resource Groups
   • Sites
   • Operating System

7. After providing the filter details, go to the Select Resources section.

8. From Select Resources, select the devices.

9. After selecting the resources, navigate to Select Monitoring Templates.

10. From Select Monitoring Templates, select the resources.

11. Click Assign and the configuration is displayed.

12. Click Submit. The templates are assigned to the selected resources.

After assigning the templates, you can track the monitoring responses in the Alerts, Metrics, and Monitors tab.

Assign a template at the device level

1. Select a client from the All Clients list.
2. Click Infrastructure > Resources.
3. Click desired resource name > resource Details > Monitors > Template.
4. From the Templates screen, click +Assign Templates.
   The screen displays Apply Templates window.
5. From Select Templates > Available templates, select the templates.
   The selected templates section displays the chosen templates.
6. Click Assign.
7. From Enter Configurations, change the default values for the configuration parameters assigned to the selected template.
8. Click Submit.
